Extra Activities
We are partnered with two outside programs Head to Toe and Music with Miss Jenna who offer both fall and spring sessions. Parents have the option of enrolling their child for one or both programs hosted in our center.

Head to Toe program offers the following programs for our age groups
-
Gymnastics: A multifaceted introduction to gymnastics and all around physical fitness. Each class is structured and includes stretching exercises, aerobics to music, gymnastic skills, games, and more! We set up mats right inside the classroom, and cover basic gymnastic skills using mailboxes, wedges, balance beams, springboards, and more. Our games and equipment help develop hand/foot eye coordination, as well as enhance and maintain gross motor skills. These are all crucial skills to improve at an early age.
-
Soccer: While many Soccer programs allow the children to run freely, Head To Toe’s structured Soccer Skills program teaches children crucial skills in a comfortable, safe, and effective learning environment. We find that our students focus and learn better through the Soccer Skills program. Children learn and refine the fundamentals of Soccer—dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting and more.
-
Martial Arts: Activities like Martial Arts are a fun way for both boys and girls to achieve fitness and focus. Some parents may think it also promotes violence, but this simply isn't true. Martial Arts actually helps teach self-discipline and socialization skills. In fact, many parents whose children have attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) report great success with these programs because self-control and concentration are skills taught. A typical 1/2 hour class begins and ends with a bow to the teacher, or master. After a warm-up, students practice the particular skills of the day, which may include kicks, thrusts and blocks. Each skill requires concentration and strict attention.
-
Yoga: The practice of accessing and integrating all aspects of our true nature — body, mind, and spirit — in the pursuit of inner harmony. Yoga is beneficial to kids in many ways. Children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges or conflicts daily. A dedicated and regular yoga practice that includes breathing techniques, behavioral guidelines, and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for them. Yoga is something children can practice anywhere. The breathing, the concentration, the poses, and the way kids learn to act or react to situations, will lead to constant self-discovery and inquisitiveness. Plus, yoga is portable, and no special equipment is needed–it can be practiced anywhere!
