  • Do you have a meal plan option?
    We are partnered with Simply Gourmet who delivers fresh hot lunches each day just in time for lunch!
  • Where can we keep our strollers?
    All strollers are kept outside within the fenced area. We do ask that parents keep their rain covers in the undercarriage of their stroller, in the case of a change of weather.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept, Zelle, Venmo, and check. Parents do have the option to pay via credit card or debt card, however an additional transaction fee will apply.
  • Do the children go outside?
    Absolutely! Infants and toddlers are taken outside at least twice a day. We have two six seater soft cushion strollers for infants and young toddlers. Our older toddlers go for walks around the neighborhood and to the local parks. When the weather does not cooperate, the children enjoy our Indoor Play Village.
  • When was A Whole New World Academy established?
    Mr. Bernard purchased AWNWA in 2002.
  • What are your operating hours?
    We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
  • What are 10 interesting facts about AWNWA?
    Oldest privately owned daycare in Hoboken. AWNWA remained open during the pandemic. Endorsed by Governor Murphy during his news conference and interviewed by Fox News. Infants have their own changing tables for sanitary purposes. ProCare App will keep you informed with pictures and videos on what your child is doing during the day. Exterior doors equipped with security pads to prevent a child from leaving the center without adult supervision. Ideally located on Washington Street between 7th & 8th Street right by buses that will take you to and from Port Authority in New York City. Designated area to leave your stroller during the day. Our curriculum incorporates both English and Spanish, giving your child the opportunity to learn words in another language. We host Parent's Night Out events as well as family parties to celebrate Halloween, Winter Holidays, Spring time, and the end of Summer.
  • Is AWNWA affiliated with the church?
    No, the lower level of the Mount Olive Church was established as an independent early childhood center in 1967, called New Beginnings.
  • How are parents involved at the school?
    Families interested in volunteering and participating in the parent association, can join Club AWNWA.
  • Can my child attend part-time?
    To assist parents with flexible work schedules we offer a 5-day, 3-day and 2-day options.
  • Do you provide meals or do we need to provide our own meals?
    You have the option of bringing your own meals, and we also offer two Meal Plan Options for families. One option is Nurture Life who delivers food weekly to the school and it is stored in our refrigerator then warmed up as needed. The other option is Simply Gourmet, who deliver freshly made hot meals daily. Both meal plans have a large selection of meal options to satisfy the pickiest eater. Our AWNWA families also receive a discount for both plans.
  • Are there cameras within the center?
    No, simply because we use ProCare, a communication system that is compatible with smart devices, which allows our teachers to provide live picture and video updates of your child’s every move throughout the day.
