Dolphins
This classroom is for our curious explorers , who are beginning to walk and feed themselves on their own. In this classroom a variety of age appropriate toys and designated areas are provided as your child has a fun-filled day learning, exploring and playing with their friends.
We have adopted the Mother Goose Curriculum, a research based early child care program that is designed to help language, social, emotional and physical skills. Children between the ages of one and two years old learn at a rapid rate and so does our curriculum. Each activity is designed to promote 33 unique skills.
-
Language and literacy skills are developed by singing, mimicking sentences, reading books and drawing.
-
Math concepts are developed by understanding the term “more” or “less” as well shapes and counting
-
Science is promoted by learning weather and identifying the five senses
-
Social and Emotional skills are developing everyday as your child interacts with their friends
-
Physical movement is encouraged with indoor and outdoor play, which helps with coordination and balance.

Cubbies provide a storage area where your curious explorer's clothing, sippy cups and bags can be stored away from other children. You select the bedding that will make your explorer most comfortable. Along with talking to the teachers, you will receive updates on ProCare, an App that families can install on their cell phone, laptops and computer. You will receive updates and pictures to keep track of their lessons, eating habits, how they play with their friends, and daily activities.
The Dolphin room is designed for maximum efficiency, security and safety. Toys are sterilized daily and changing tables are sterilized after each diaper is changed. A specific diaper changing procedure recommended by the CDC is strictly adhered to ensure our students safety. Caregivers are required to wear gloves and place a specially designed sanitary paper on the changing pad before each child's diaper is changed. Diapers are placed in plastic bags before being deposited in a lined diaper pail which is emptied several times a day.
